Last Saturday, February 7, D9 Neighbors rolled up our sleeves and joined the Portola Greenway cleanup — and we had a blast doing it. From clearing debris to tending the landscape, it was a hands-on way to care for one of our neighborhood’s shared spaces.

We were especially impressed by the towering native plants — some of them reaching truly prehistoric heights! It’s always inspiring to see how much beauty and resilience lives right here in our community when neighbors show up to nurture it.

The Portola Greenway cleanups take place on the first Saturday of every month, and they’re a great way to meet fellow neighbors while making a tangible difference. Huge thanks to the Portola Garden Club for hosting and organizing these efforts — we’re grateful for the work you do to keep this space thriving.

We’re already looking forward to the next one.
